Coyote spotted in Southampton

Urban coyotes have made recent headlines in Houston and their numbers appear to be growing. This week a coyote was spotted in Southampton near Wroxton and Kent. As noted in the Houston Press article (see below), coyotes pose a significant threat to small dogs and cats.

This is not the first time that coyotes have ventured nearby. Last year, they were responsible for the deaths of six cats in a neighborhood near St. Anne's Church.

Please keep an eye on your pets. While there are coyotes on the loose, it may be advisable to bring pets indoors at night.
